Vintage sideboard by Hugo Troeds, Bra Bohag, Sweden.

This beautiful Scandinavian sideboard by Hugo Troeds, manufactured by Bra Bohag in Sweden around 1960, is a fine example of mid-century modern design. The design is attributed to Nils Jonsson, Bra Bohag’s in-house designer.

The sideboard has a secretary with two small drawers on the right, and four spacious drawers on the left. At the bottom are two sliding doors with a shelf, ideal for extra storage space. The finish of the cabinet is particularly refined, with carefully shaped handles, dovetail joints and beautifully finished shelves. The cabinet comes with the original key.

The dimensions are h x w x d = 115 x 149 x 43 cm, with the desktop placed at a height of 81 cm from the floor. The depth of the opened flap is 31 cm, which provides sufficient working space. This vintage sideboard is marked “Bra Bohag, Hugo Troeds, Bjarnum” and is an excellent example of high-quality Swedish furniture art from the 1960s. A valuable addition to any interior that is looking for Scandinavian simplicity and timeless elegance.
